About
A pharmaceutical diuretic and antihypertensive agent with no cosmetic applications. Like all prescription drugs, it is prohibited from use in cosmetic products.
Bendroflumethiazide is a thiazide diuretic used in the management of hypertension and edema. It acts on the distal convoluted tubule of the kidney to inhibit sodium reabsorption. It has no pharmacological role in skin care and is specifically prohibited from use as a cosmetic ingredient. EU regulations restrict its presence in mixtures at ≥0.1%. As a prescription pharmaceutical, its presence in a cosmetic product would represent significant regulatory violation and potential consumer safety risk.
