About
A controlled amphetamine-class stimulant. Its presence on a cosmetic database is an Annex II prohibition listing, not a formulation option.
Dimetamfetamine (CAS 17279-39-9) is the N,N-dimethyl analogue of amphetamine, a potent sympathomimetic and CNS stimulant. It is listed as a controlled psychotropic substance under the 1971 UN Convention on Psychotropic Substances (Schedule II) and is prohibited in cosmetic products under EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 Annex II. Pharmacological effects — tachycardia, hypertension, hyperthermia, abuse potential — are incompatible with topical consumer products. No cosmetic manufacturer could lawfully incorporate it; it appears on the INCI/CosIng register only as a banned substance.
