Fludrocortisone acetate is a synthetic corticosteroid with potent mineralocorticoid activity (approximately 100 times more than hydrocortisone) used in treating adrenal insufficiency. It is prohibited in cosmetic products under EU Cosmetics Regulation Annex II. Hazards include acute toxicity (H302, H312, H332), skin and eye irritation (H315, H319), H335 (respiratory irritation), and H361 (suspected reproductive toxicity).
