About
A recombinant human serum albumin analogue produced in transgenic rice, offering excellent biocompatibility and humectant properties similar to naturally occurring albumin.
This recombinant protein is expressed in Oryza sativa (rice) and replicates the 609-amino-acid sequence of human Serum Albumin. Serum albumin is the most abundant plasma protein in humans and is widely regarded as safe in medical and cosmetic applications. Plant expression in a non-food grain crop avoids mammalian pathogen risks and endotoxin issues. Human serum albumin has an extensive safety record in topical and injectable pharmaceutical applications. No EU restrictions apply; the ingredient benefits from the well-established safety profile of the human albumin sequence itself.
