About

A urethane copolymer film-former used in nail and cosmetic coatings; formed from HEMA, isophorone diisocyanate, and a glycol/adipate polyester.

A urethane polymer formed by reacting a Glycol/Trimethylolpropane/Adipic Acid polyester with Isophorone Diisocyanate (IPDI), end-capped with HEMA. The resulting high-molecular-weight copolymer does not penetrate skin due to its large molecular size. Not listed in EU Annex II or III restrictions. HEMA-based polymers are widely used in nail gels and are considered safe in cosmetic films when properly cured. PubChem safety score: 78.
