About

An acetylated tripeptide that mimics the sequence of elastin, used in anti-aging formulations to improve skin firmness and reduce wrinkles.

Acetyl Tripeptide-1 is a synthetic tripeptide with an acetyl group at the N-terminus, designed to mimic the elastin sequence. It is not restricted in EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. The acetylation improves peptide stability and skin penetration. Peptides are considered among the safer cosmetic active ingredients, with minimal sensitization and toxicity concerns at appropriate concentrations. The SCCS has generally recognized peptide ingredients as safe for cosmetic use when properly synthesized. Acetyl Tripeptide-1 is widely used in high-end anti-aging skincare products targeting wrinkles and loss of firmness.
