About
A steam-distilled hydrosol from aloe vera flowers, used as a fragrant skin-conditioning and toning ingredient in natural cosmetic formulations.
Aloe barbadensis flower water is the aqueous distillate remaining after steam distillation of aloe flowers for essential oil (rarely produced). The resulting hydrosol contains water-soluble volatile compounds from the flower but is essentially free of non-volatile plant chemicals including anthraquinones. As a steam-distilled botanical water, it falls outside EU Annex restrictions and is considered one of the safest cosmetic ingredient categories. PubChem reference score: 90.
