About
A steam-distilled hydrosol from Aloe ferox leaves, used as a soothing and faintly aromatic skin-conditioning base in natural cosmetics.
Aloe ferox leaf water is the steam distillate of Aloe ferox leaves, containing water-soluble volatile compounds but stripped of non-volatile constituents including anthraquinones found in the crude leaf juice. EU cosmetics regulation does not restrict steam-distilled aloe leaf waters. The distillation process removes the main concern (anthraquinones), making this one of the safest forms of Aloe ferox for cosmetic use. PubChem reference score: 90.
