EU Regulation 1223/2009 Annex III restricts its use to concentrations below 0.1% as a constituent of substances or mixtures. The compound carries extensive hazard statements including H227 (combustible), H302/H303 (harmful if swallowed), H315 (causes skin irritation), H318 (causes serious eye damage), H330 (fatal if inhaled), H335 (respiratory irritation), H350 (may cause cancer), and H411 (aquatic toxicity).
