About
An aluminum-based antiperspirant active that temporarily reduces perspiration by forming micro-plugs in sweat ducts.
Aluminum Chlorohydrex PG is a complex of aluminum chlorohydrate with propylene glycol, used as an active antiperspirant ingredient in leave-on cosmetic products. EU cosmetics regulation does not prohibit aluminum antiperspirants but requires compliance with general safety provisions and prohibits use on broken or damaged skin, as aluminum can be absorbed at higher rates from compromised skin barriers. Some controversy exists regarding systemic aluminum exposure.
