About
Fresh juice pressed from custard apple pulp — rich in vitamins, phenolic compounds and acetogenins that nourish skin and fight free radicals.
Annona reticulata (custard apple or bullock's heart) contains acetogenins (bullatacin, squamocin), vitamin C, phenolic antioxidants and flavonoids. Topically, these compounds show antioxidant and antimicrobial activity. The fruit has a long history of use in traditional medicine. Generally safe; the main concern is the acetogenins which can be irritants in very high concentrations and are under study for bioactivity — not at cosmetic levels though.
