About
Growth media collected from cultured aster plant stem cells — packed with secreted signaling molecules and metabolites that rejuvenate and protect skin cells.
Aster yomena (syn. Kalimeris yomena) is a perennial herb in the Asteraceae family native to East Asia. Callus conditioned media is produced by culturing plant stem cells in bioreactors; the cells secrete bioactive metabolites into the growth medium over several days. These metabolites include phenolic compounds, flavonoids and plant hormones. Conditioned media from aster callus cultures has demonstrated antioxidant and anti-glycation activity in vitro. Plant stem cell technology allows high concentrations of potent actives in a stable, sustainable format.
