Detailed Analysis

Babassu Acid is a mixture of fatty acids derived from Orbignya Oleifera (babassu) seed oil, similar in composition to coconut oil with high levels of lauric and myristic acids. Babassu oil has a long traditional use in Brazilian skincare. No EU cosmetic restrictions apply. Fatty acids from vegetable oils are permitted without limitation. The ingredient also appears as an entry in some international fragrance allergen databases but is not a fragrance allergen itself.
