About
A modified amodimethicone silicone — gives hair a smooth, silky feel with less buildup than simple amodimethicones.
Bis-hydroxy/methoxy/methyl amodimethicone crosspolymer is an amino-functional silicone with mixed hydroxyl, methoxy and methyl substitution, crosslinked into a larger polymer. The amine groups bind to negatively charged hair, delivering conditioning; the mixed substitution and crosslinking reduce buildup compared with simple amodimethicone. CIR reviews of amodimethicone-family ingredients are supportive of cosmetic safety. No EU Annex II/III listing. Methoxy groups hydrolyse slowly to release small amounts of methanol — well within cosmetic safety limits at use concentrations.
