C11-15-Isoalkanes are branched-chain alkanes in the C11 to C15 carbon range, used as emollients and skin-conditioning agents in cosmetic products. EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 does not restrict this ingredient. The longer chain length compared to lighter isoparaffins provides more substantial emolliency and film-forming properties on the skin. It is structurally related to other C11-C15 alkanes with a long history of safe cosmetic use.
