Cadmium Carbonate is a cadmium salt of carbonic acid. Cadmium and its compounds are classified as Category 1B carcinogens (H350 - may cause cancer by inhalation, ingestion, and dermal exposure), Category 2 acute aquatic toxicity (H400), and are listed as substances of very high concern (SVHC) under EU REACH. The EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 Annex II explicitly prohibits cadmium and its compounds from being used in cosmetic products. Any presence would be unintentional trace contamination at most.
