About
A water-soluble chitosan derivative with enhanced film-forming and moisturizing properties derived from crustacean shell chitin.
Carboxymethyl chitosan succinamide is a chemically modified derivative of chitosan, obtained through carboxymethylation and succinamide substitution. It retains chitosan’s biocompatibility and biodegradability while offering improved water solubility. In the EU, chitosan derivatives are permitted in cosmetic products without specific concentration limits under Regulation 1223/2009; no Annex II or III restrictions apply.
