About
An ethoxylated cholesterol (10 mol EO) used as a skin-conditioning emulsifier with good affinity for the skin barrier.
Choleth-10 is the polyethylene glycol ether of cholesterol with approximately 10 mol EO. Cholesterol is a natural component of the skin barrier (stratum corneum), and ethoxylated derivatives retain some barrier-affinity while gaining water solubility. The ethoxylation degree of 10 makes it water-soluble while retaining emollient properties. Not restricted under EU cosmetics regulation. Standard PEG purity requirements apply.
