About
Juice from jabara, a rare Japanese citrus noted for narirutin and allergy research. Gentle antioxidant juice with standard citrus caveats.
Citrus jabara juice is the juice of the jabara fruit, a Japanese citrus endemic to Wakayama Prefecture. Notable for high narirutin content, a flavanone with antihistamine research interest, along with other flavonoids and vitamin C. Used in cosmetics for antioxidant and brightening positioning. Citrus-family phototoxicity from furanocoumarins is lower in expressed juice than in peel oil but not guaranteed zero. Fragrance allergens (limonene, linalool) from residual peel oil can appear at low levels. No EU Annex II listing; safety by food precedent as an edible fruit.

- High narirutin flavonoid
- Antioxidant polyphenols
- Edible-fruit safety precedent
Known concerns
