Citrus Unshiu Fruit Water is the aqueous solution from steam distillation of Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu) fruit. Satsuma mandarin is a non-high-furanocoumarin citrus variety and no EU cosmetic restrictions apply to this material. The steam distillation process removes coumarins from the distillate, resulting in a coumarin-free hydrosol. It is used as a skin-conditioning ingredient and natural citrus fragrance in cosmetic formulations.
