Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid approximately 25 times more potent than hydrocortisone, used in prescription treatments for severe inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. It is prohibited in cosmetic products under EU Cosmetics Regulation Annex II. Multiple hazard statements include H315, H317, H319, H334 (respiratory sensitiser), H360 (reprotoxic), H373, and H410 (aquatic toxicant).
