About

A potassium salt of an unsaturated fatty acid linked to glutamic acid, used as a mild anionic surfactant suitable for sensitive skin.

Dipotassium Undecadienoyl Glutamate is the dipotassium salt of N-undecadienoyl glutamate, derived from undecylenic acid (castor oil) and glutamic acid. Undecanoic acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid with known antifungal properties. The potassium salt is highly water-soluble and mild. The ingredient is not listed on EU Annex II or III. It is considered significantly milder than conventional anionic surfactants such as SLES. The unsaturated C11 chain with double bond provides emollient character.
