About
Disodium Caproamphodiacetate is a cosmetic ingredient used in product formulations. Its specific function may vary between products. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.
Disodium caproamphodiacetate is the disodium salt of an amphoteric surfactant containing both anionic (acetate) and cationic (amine) sites within the same molecule, providing pH-dependent charge neutralization and excellent mildness. It is part of the caproamphodiacetate series (derived from C6 caproic acid) and is not individually listed in EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 with restriction. Amphoteric surfactants of this type are widely used in baby skincare and sensitive-skin formulations. The compound is readily biodegradable and shows low aquatic toxicity.
