About
A polymeric emulsifier based on isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) with long-chain polyethylene glycol ethers, used in personal care.
Disteareth-100 IPDI is a polymeric emulsifier formed by the reaction of isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) with stearyl alcohol ethoxylates (100 mol EO). The resulting urethane polymer has excellent emulsification properties for high-viscosity formulations. It is not listed in EU Annexes II or III. IPDI-based polymers are widely used in cosmetics; the polymer structure itself is too large to be absorbed through the skin.
