Elettaria cardamomum seed water is the steam-distillate hydrosol from cardamom seeds, commonly used as a natural fragrance in cosmetics. Cardamom seed oil has GRAS status in food and is not subject to specific EU cosmetic restrictions under Regulation 1223/2009 Annexes. The highly diluted hydrosol form poses minimal risk. Contains linalool and geraniol as minor constituents which must be declared if present above 0.001% in leave-on products (EU regulation).
