About
Fentin Acetate is a cosmetic ingredient used in product formulations. Its specific function may vary between products. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.
Fentin acetate (triphenyltin acetate) is an organotin compound historically used as an agricultural fungicide and biocide. Like other organotin compounds, it is highly toxic to aquatic organisms, persistent in the environment, and has a toxicity profile incompatible with cosmetic use. EU Regulation 1223/2009 does not authorize any organotin compounds in cosmetic products, and no SCCS safety assessment exists for their dermal use.
Known concerns
