About
A novel cosmetic peptide ingredient produced by conjugating gallic acid to a synthetic peptide derived from the Tepidamorphus gemmatus organism, used for skin conditioning and protection.
Galloyl s-Tepidamorphus Gemmatus Oligopeptide-1 SP is the reaction product of Gallic Acid and s-Tepidamorphus Gemmatus Oligopeptide-1 SP, combining the antioxidant properties of gallic acid with the bioactivity of the oligopeptide. The ingredient is not listed in EU Annex II or III under Regulation 1223/2009. The galloylation (attachment of galloyl groups) is a common modification in plant biochemistry and is generally regarded as safe. As a relatively novel cosmetic ingredient, comprehensive long-term safety data are still accumulating, which accounts for the moderate safety score.
