About
A concentrated saponin fraction from Panax ginseng containing multiple ginsenoside types that stimulate collagen and reduce signs of aging.
Ginsenosides are triterpenoid saponins isolated from Panax ginseng (Asian ginseng) roots. The fraction contains multiple ginsenoside types (Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, Re, Rg1, Rf) in varying ratios depending on extraction method. Ginsenosides Rg1 and Rb1 modulate aquaporin-3 expression and collagen synthesis in fibroblasts via the TGF-β/Smad pathway. They also inhibit MMP-1 upregulation from UV exposure. Overall adaptogenic and anti-aging. Minor risk of contact dermatitis reported in sensitised individuals.
