About
A gentle lactate-modified glyceryl stearate emollient that also functions as an emulsifier; naturally derived and widely used in gentle skin care formulations.
Glyceryl Stearate Lactate (CAS 12338-10-9) is the lactic acid ester of glyceryl stearate, produced by esterification of glycerin with stearic acid followed by lactate modification. The lactate group enhances mildness and water-binding capacity. Not restricted in EU Annex II or III; glyceryl stearate derivatives are among the most widely used and well-studied emollients in cosmetic formulations, considered non-irritating and non-sensitizing.
