About
Deeply moisturizing emollient that leaves skin soft and supple.
Heptylundecyl hydroxystearate is a fatty acid ester formed from heptyl and undecyl alcohols esterified with hydroxystearic acid. Long-chain wax esters of this type are known for their excellent emollient properties and skin barrier support. Hydroxystearic acid (12-hydroxystearic acid) is a derivative of castor oil that imparts lubricity and creaminess to cosmetic formulations. The compound is not listed in EU cosmetic regulation restrictions (Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 Annexes II or III) and is expected to have a favorable safety profile consistent with other fatty acid esters used in cosmetics.
