A hydrazine salt with documented carcinogenic and mutagenic potential that is prohibited from cosmetic use in most regulated markets including the EU.

Hydrazinium sulfate contains free hydrazine moieties which are known carcinogens (IARC Group 2A) and mutagens. Hydrazine and its derivatives are listed in EU Annex II as prohibited substances in cosmetic products.
