About
A hydrogenated version of polydodecene that provides a very light, nongreasy emolliency similar to squalane, making it suitable for sensitive and premium skincare formulations.
Hydrogenated Polydodecene is the saturated, hydrogenated form of polydodecene (polymer of 1-dodecene). The hydrogenation process removes any double bonds, creating a chemically stable, inert hydrocarbon oil. It is not listed in EU Annex II or III restrictions. Dodecene polymers are used extensively in skin care and colour cosmetics for their excellent spreading properties and non-comedogenic rating. The hydrogenated form is particularly prized for its oxidative stability and skin-like sensory profile.
Skin benefits
- Light, nongreasy emollient
