About
A plant-derived ester from meadowfoam-seed fatty acids and isoamyl alcohol. Light, silky emollient with very strong oxidative stability.
Isoamyl meadowfoamate is the isoamyl ester of meadowfoam (Limnanthes alba) seed-oil fatty acids, which contain unusually long-chain (C20-C22) monounsaturated acids. The resulting ester is a light, silky emollient with exceptional oxidative stability — meadowfoam derivatives are among the most oxidation-resistant plant lipids available. Used in lotions, sunscreens, and color cosmetics. The component pieces have CIR safety support; no CMR or endocrine flags reported. Tolerance is generally excellent at typical use levels (1-15%).
