About
Emerging plant vesicles from Easter lily roots containing polysaccharides and glycoproteins for hydration and skin-barrier support, with limited safety data.
Lilium Longiflorum Extracellular Vesicles are isolated from the roots of Easter lily via cell culture and ultracentrifugation. EV characterisation studies show they contain polysaccharides, glycoproteins, and lipids similar to those found in other plant EVs. Lilium EVs have demonstrated in vitro ability to deliver cargo to mammalian cells. Early research suggests moisturising and barrier-repair potential, but the ingredient is very novel and long-term topical safety data are limited.
