About
Nanocarrier vesicles from goji berry fruit cell cultures loaded with polysaccharides and betaine for antioxidant and moisturising skin benefits.
Lycium Barbarum (Goji berry) Fruit Extracellular Vesicles are secreted by cultured goji fruit cells into the culture medium. The vesicles carry Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP), betaine, zeaxanthin, and beta-carotene as bioactive components. The polysaccharides have demonstrated free radical scavenging activity and immunomodulatory effects. Betaine (trimethylglycine) is a natural moisturising factor (NMF) component that maintains skin hydration. The EV membrane facilitates transdermal delivery of these carotenoid and polysaccharide compounds.
