Lynestrenol is a synthetic progestogen used as an oral contraceptive and hormone replacement therapy. It is not listed in EU CosIng for cosmetic use. As a steroid hormone, it has endocrine-disrupting properties. EU Regulation 1223/2009 prohibits substances with hormonal activity from cosmetic use.
