Melissa Officinalis juice is expressed from the flowers, leaves, and stems of lemon balm (Lamiaceae). The juice contains rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid derivatives, and volatile oils including citronellal and neral. Rosmarinic acid is a well-studied anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compound that inhibits complement activation and mast cell degranulation.
