About
A bacterial lysate from Mesorhizobium comanensis used as a skin-conditioning ingredient; as a novel ferment ingredient, limited safety data exists and thorough safety assessment is recommended.
Mesorhizobium Comanensis Lysate is a bacterial lysate from a soil-derived bacterium. Rhizobium-type bacteria are nitrogen-fixing organisms with complex interactions in soil ecosystems; their lysates may contain bioactive compounds of interest for skin care. Not specifically restricted in EU Regulation 1223/2009 Annex II or III. As with other novel bacterial lysates, comprehensive safety data including skin sensitisation, mutagenicity, and local tolerance are required. The absence of restriction does not equate to established safety; each novel ingredient requires its own safety file.
