About
Noni fruit juice — a traditional Polynesian botanical with antioxidant polyphenols. Useful but needs fragrance work and isn't deeply studied on skin.
Morinda citrifolia (noni) fruit juice is a tropical botanical used as a skin-conditioning and antioxidant agent. Key constituents include iridoids (deacetylasperulosidic acid), scopoletin, vitamin C, and polyphenols. Listed in the EU CosIng inventory; no SCCS restrictions. Most supporting evidence is for dietary use; topical data is mainly in-vitro antioxidant activity plus small pilot studies. Noni juice has a distinctive pungent odour so it is typically used at low percentages in masks, serums and body products, often with strong masking. A handful of contact dermatitis cases have been reported in literature but are rare. Overall a reasonable antioxidant adjunct with moderate evidence.
