It carries extensive hazard statements: H301/H331 (toxic if swallowed/inhaled), H315 (skin irritation), H317 (skin sensitizer), H334 (respiratory sensitizer), H341 (mutagen), H350i (inhalational carcinogen), H360D (developmental reproductive toxicant), H372 (organ toxicity), and H400/H410 (environmental hazard). Nickel dichloride is prohibited in cosmetic products under EU Regulation 1223/2009 Annex II due to the severe hazards associated with nickel compounds.
