Octahydro-Tetramethyl-Methano-1-Naphthol (patchouli alcohol or related polycyclic sesquiterpene) is a tricyclic sesquiterpene alcohol used in perfumery. The methano-bridged tetramethylnaphthalene skeleton is characteristic of ambergris-type fragrance materials. The H411 classification indicates chronic aquatic toxicity.
