Olea europaea leaf water is the steam distillate from olive leaves, a byproduct of olive farming. It contains bioactive secoiridoid glycosides (oleuropein), hydroxytyrosol, and flavonoid compounds with documented antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. No EU restrictions apply to olive leaf water under Regulation 1223/2009. The ingredient is well-tolerated on skin with no identified sensitization potential at typical use concentrations.
