About
A highly ethoxylated oleyl alcohol ether used as a solubilizer and emulsifier in water-heavy cosmetic formulations, with a large hydrophilic head that limits skin absorption and reduces irritation risk.
Poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), α-9-(Z)-octadecenyl-ω-hydroxy with an average of 44 mol EO. Functions as a nonionic surfactant and solubilizer in cosmetic products. No EU restrictions apply under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009; not listed in Annex II or III. The long EO chain reduces potential for skin penetration and irritation. Used in a wide range of leave-on and rinse-off cosmetic products.
Skin benefits
- Superior solubilizer for water-based formulations
- Low irritation potential
