About
A high ethoxylation polyethylene glycol isostearate ester used as an emulsifier and skin conditioning agent in cosmetic formulations, with a safety profile among the best of the PEG isostearate series.
PEG-20 ISOSTEARATE has a high ethoxylation degree of 20 EO units, making it a large polymer that is poorly absorbed through the skin. The 20-unit EO chain provides excellent water solubility and a strong safety margin. Isostearic acid contributes emollient properties while the high EO count limits systemic exposure. The CIR assessment of PEG isostearates supports safe cosmetic use. Not listed in EU Annexes II or III under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
