About
A medium ethoxylation polyethylene glycol isostearate ester used as an emulsifier and skin conditioning agent in cosmetic formulations such as creams, lotions, and cleansing products.
PEG-9 ISOSTEARATE is an ester of polyethylene glycol (9 EO units) with isostearic acid, providing balanced hydrophilic-lipophilic properties suitable for cosmetic emulsification. The 9-unit EO chain offers moderate skin penetration potential with a favorable safety profile. The branched structure of isostearic acid reduces oxidation risk compared to linear fatty acid esters. CIR has assessed PEG isostearates as safe for cosmetic use. Not restricted in EU Annexes II or III.
