A silicone-polyether hybrid that provides a smooth, non-greasy feel with good spreadability and conditioning.
PEG/PPG-5/3 Trisiloxane is a trisiloxane backbone modified with both polyethylene and polypropylene glycol chains, combining the sensory benefits of silicones with the water-solubility of PEG. It functions as a conditioning agent and can improve the spreadability of cosmetic formulations. It is not restricted under EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Silicone-polyether copolymers are widely used in skincare and colour cosmetics.
