About
A fully esterified polyglycerol emulsifier derived from oleic acid (5 oleate groups per polyglycerol backbone) that creates stable W/O emulsions and is considered a natural, mild alternative to PEG surfactants.
Polyglyceryl-10 Pentaoleate is a polyglycerol ester with a high degree of esterification (10 glycerol units backbone, 5 oleic acid chains), giving it strong lipophilic character. Polyglycerol esters are listed in EU Regulation 1223/2009 Annex I (positive inventory) without restriction. They are considered particularly safe as they are derived from natural glycerol and fatty acids and are readily biodegradable. No 1,4-dioxane or nitrosamine concerns apply, making this one of the cleaner choices in the ester surfactant category.
