Polyglyceryl-3 Dicaprate is the diester of polyglycerin-3 with capric acid (C10), making it more water-soluble than stearate-based emulsifiers. The shorter fatty acid chain gives it a lighter texture and lower occlusion. It functions as a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier. Capric acid (also called decanoic acid) is a medium-chain fatty acid with some antimicrobial properties, adding mild preservative support to formulations. No EU restrictions apply.
