A potassium salt of alkyl phosphoric acid used as a cleansing surfactant, generally considered safe in cosmetic applications.
Potassium C12-14 Alkyl Phosphate is the potassium salt of a complex mixture of phosphoric acid esters with synthetic C12-14 fatty alcohols. Alkyl phosphates of this type are used in cleansing formulations and are not listed in EU Annex II or III under Regulation 1223/2009. The ingredient has good safety data for use in rinse-off products with low irritation potential. As a phosphate-based surfactant, it provides effective cleansing without the concerns associated with sulfate-based surfactants.
