Potassium Macadamiate is the potassium salt of Macadamia Acid. This is a soap-like potassium salt of fatty acids used for cleansing and foam support. Fatty acid soaps are not especially systemically toxic, but they can be more alkaline and more stripping than gentler modern surfactants.
